One-Day Miyajima Tour & Mt. Misen Climbing

In addition to the harf-day Miyajima tour covering the Itsukushima Shrine areas, this tour takes you to the top of Mt. Misen, where the three Miyajima goddesses firstly descended, by cable car and astonishes you with the extensive views of beautiful greenery and Seto Inland Sea.

  • Children (6 to 11 years old) and Infants (0 to 5 years old): This tour is not highly recommended for families with babies, because you need to walk for 20 min. from the cable car upper terminal to the observation deck on the top of Mt. Mt. Misen - While riding the cable car, you'll first encounter the fantastic views of Seto Inland Sea, which has received Michelin 3-star in its travel guide. After arriving at Shishiiwa Station, the mountain terminal, we go to its mysterious zone consisting of Misenhondo Hall, Reikado Hall and Sankido Hall. In the Reikado, you'll see the eternal flame continuously burning for over 1,200 years. In Sankido Hall, Ogres are interestingly enshrined. 

We then walk up to the top of Mt. Misen where You'll again be surprised to see a lot of gigantic stones Who brought them up there?

Momijidani Valley - On the way to the cable car station for Mr. Misen, we pass through Momojidani Valley which is full of seasonal beauty with shining greenery in spring and wonderful red leaves in autumn
